Lakeside White

eg

Bottled as a dry table wine, this wine is made from the fruit of the Carlos muscadine, a very hearty yet sweet berry that is prevalent in the domestic wine industry in the Southeast. The berry produces a white juice and is the only fruit used to make our Lakeside White brand. The wine is similar in taste to a German wine known as Riesling and is best served chilled.

Blushing Bride

eg

Very small dark berries are produced by the Creek muscadine vine which are harvested late in the season, field crushed and left on the musk for only a short period of time resulting in the beautiful color and clarity of this wine. The vines were originally cultivated by Kelly Bryant at Bryant Vineyards especially for planting at Lewis Lakes Vineyards. This wine is produced as a dry wine but is the sweetest of the wines bottled by Lewis Lakes Vineyards. The label commemorates a family wedding held at Lewis Lakes Vineyards in 2011.

Lakeside Red

eg

The Lenoir variety of a Vitus vinifera hybrid grape is readily distinguished from the muscadine variety as it is a dark berry that grows in “bunches” similar in appearance to the grapes you would see growing in California. The fruit is crushed, left on the musk for a time, then pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. This wine is dark, hearty and very pleasing to the palate and is excellent when paired with steaks and chops. Best if aerated for several hours prior to serving.

Autumn Red

eg

Our Autumn Red is a blend of different varieties of muscadine fruit providing the best qualities of each. As a “red”, it naturally brings with it the highly beneficial antioxidants as well as ellagic acid compounds that are of great nutraceutical value when consumed. It contains fall harvested, sun ripened fruits with their excellent balances of sugar and acids allowing us to make a finished blend that appeals to those who prefer a clean, crisp flavor while still gaining the health benefits of a dark wine.
